We had MaMa over for the Christmas and New Year period. It was wonderful having her here. Meg was the happiest and she really enjoyed the creative games and songs that MaMa taught her. We hope she will be back soon.

Margaret River

It was Mummy and Daddy's Wedding Anniversary, so we went to Margaret River for the weekend to celebrate. We had a wonderful time eating and relaxing. The food and wine in the region was fantastic.

We visited several vineyards. One of the prettiest ones was the Voyager Estate.

We stayed at a B&B called The Rose Pavillion. It was a very pretty place and very secluded.

One of the highlights of the trip was the food and wine that the region offered. The hype was well justified with fresh ingredients and and creative cooking.

November update

We brought Meg to the Abingdon Minature Village in Mandurah. It was a nice day except we got attacked by mozzies. Went to Mandurah's new marina development for lunch.

Met up with Misha and family @ the Houghton Winery Estate . The girls had lots of fun playing and we went for tea at a quaint little garden cafe nearby.

September was the month that Ye Ye and Nai Nai visited us in Perth. The family enjoyed spending time together and showing the folks around WA. We went for a day trip to Busselton and Mandurah. It was also spring time so we went to check out the Tulip Festival @ Araluen Botanic Park as well as the Wildflowers Festival @ King's Park.

New Norcia

We drove up north to New Norcia which is a real life monestary town run by Benedictin Monks. The town was very quiet and serene. It feels like a step back in time.

On the way back, we stopped by the StringyBark Winery in Chittering Valley for lunch. The food and wine were very nice and we will definately be back for more.

The weather during the weekend was fantastic and we took the opportunity to go to the beach for a walk after church on Sunday. It was so crowded and the beach was full of people enjoying the sun. Although it was sunny, it was still quite chilly . We had gelato and played @ the playground for while before going home for an afternoon snooze.

Farm Visit

We went to the Cuddly Farm with Misha and family on Sat. Meg had a good time playing with the furry animals and chasing chickens. But she was really grumpy when feeding time came for the lambs and refused to help Daddy.

After the farm visit, we went to the Black Swan . Had a nice lunch there. As it is wintertime, the vines were bare. We would prob come back again in summer.

Brought Meg for her vaccinations today. They arranged for 3 jabs so Meg had 3 needles jab. Ouch! Fortunately, she recovered quite quickly and was back to her usual happy self. The 3 bandages on her legs are the injection sites.

Araluen Botanic Gardens

We spent Saturday at the Araluen Botanic Gardens with Misha and Family. It was a very nice day , all sunny and dry. We had tea and scones at a pretty little tea house nearby and spent a nice afternoon playing in the gardens.

New House n Ride

We went bright and early to the Target Toy sale and bought some really nice toys for Meg. This Playskook house is so well made and girly. It comes with a cooking stove too.

We also got her this bike which is very versatile . She likes it and we hope to bring her to the park more often when the weather clears up.

This is the season for Toy Sales in Perth. Daddy already started buying for her. We are all waitng with bated breadth for the Target Toy Sales which start this week. How Exicitng for Meg!

Daddy surprised us with a nicely done up house when we arrived in Perth. He got everything ready to ensure we have a comfy place to stay. Thank you Daddy.

We had family over with us this trip for 2 weeks. Gong Gong ,MaMa , Bayi and Ah yi spent a nice holiday with us and we enjoyed having them with us. Also had dinner with Auntie Christine and family

We have settled down well here and attend a cell group and church regularly. Made many friends and feel quite at home already. The weather is nice and cool.

We met up with friends and had playdates/outings with Misha and Declan. Mummy and Meg will be returning to SG soon and are alreayd planning their next trip. We will miss Daddy and the weather!

We are finally here. Sad to leave our family, but excited about new life ahead. While here, we have been spending time with Auntie Christine and family as well as settling down. Also managed to have a playdate with Misha. Megan has adjusted quite ok, although she misses everyone at home. From having NaiNai, Gong,Gong n Auntie R to play with, now she only has Mummy for most of the day.

Gong Xi Fa Cai!

We had a wonderful CNY this year. It was a hectic time (with a record 18 homes visited in 4 days) but we enjoyed it very much, spending time catching up with relatives and friends. Megan was a sweetie the whole time and did not fuss although her normal schedule was disrupted.

We celebrated Megan's 1st Birthday Party this week. We are all so amazed at how fast time has passed, it seemed only yesterday that Megan was a tiny little newborn. We had many friends and relatives over @ our house to celebrate this milestone.

Megan is learning to walk now. We have been training her in the garden and now she can walk a few steps before falling.It is still quite some way before she can walk steadily on her own, but we will persevere in our practice sessions.

We brought Megan for Daddy's company Christmas party. It was a fun party with magicians and games, but Megan was as gloomy as the rainy weather outside. She cried whenever Daddy's colleagues tried to play with her and she wailed when she saw "Santa".

We went to Auntie's place for another Christmas party and by then, Megan had calmed down. She managed to have a good time playing with her cousins.

Megan fell sick a few weeks back, with fever and a runny nose. She was very grumpy and had poor appetite. She lost some weight.However, our little girl bounced back from that bout of illness and has started to eat with a vengence. She can self feed now, eating biscuits by the packets. Our Deepavali Holiday

We brought Megan swimming during the Deepavali holiday. This time, Megan took to the water well. We splashed about the baby pool and pool fountains. She loved it, giggling and clapping her hands the wholetime.

It has been a busy few weeks for us with lots of activities for Baby Megan. We brought her out visiting relatives, shopping and even for Oktoberfest.

This month marked the first of her many milestones She has started crawling, but backwards and she can stand steadily with support She has also learned how to fall asleep on her own. We discovered the beginnings of her first tooth today. We will post a picture of it when it finally emerges.

Our Trip to Perth

We brought Megan to Perth for a holiday. Our little family had a wonderfully relaxing and fun time. Megan was an absolute darling the whole trip and it was a great time of family bonding for the 3 of us. We also celebrated Mummy's birthday there.

We had some worries about Megan's maiden flight, but it turned out ok . Our little girl slept through most of the flight and we made sure she had water to drink during take off and landing.

The weather in Perth was fantastic with sunny days but cool breezes. It is spring time there now and there were loads of activities for the family. We went for the Wildflower Festival in King's Park as well as the annual Royal Perth Show.

Apart from parks, we spent some time at Perth's beaches.

We also met up with Uncle Barry, Auntie Michiko and baby Misha. Misha is only 4 days younger then Megan and she is a real cheeky cutie with an adorable smile. They had instant chemistry and hit it off well..literally

It was Ah kong's birthday. We went to a Korean BBQ restaurant for lunch. The food was really nice and the kids enjoyed playing at the playroom in the restaurant. We proceeded to Ah Yee's house for the cake cutting where Megan tried out the Yee-Zhang's drum set.

Daddy bought this fun house for Megan from Giant. It came with 50 coloured balls . Megan likes it...although she doesn't like playing in it alone. It will prob take some time for her to get used to sitting inside by herself

We went to CheChe Sage's first birthday party at her home in Pasir Ris. The food was yummy and the party favours were a big hit with Megan. The birthday girl has grown so tall since we last met her. The adults had a good time catching up on the latest happenings.

Mid Autumn Fest 2007

We had a pot luck/ BBQ party at home on Saturday night to celebrate Lantern Festival. We were blessed with great weather that night and everyone had a good time eating and talking. The kids played with lanterns which created pretty lights all over the garden. Megan was too excited to sleep and she was a good hostess sharing her toys and letting people carry her.

Megan had an eventful weekend this week. First stop was her first visit to the zoo on Saturday. We went with Kor Kor Myles, Auntie Becky and Uncle Jon. The babies took turn to sleep throughout the day. It was a fun and tiring day for the Mummies and Daddies who had to take care of the bubs and gossip.

There was a period when Megan became really fussy and refused to drink her milk properly, even losing some weight...but fortunately that time is over and now she is back to drinking her usual amt. It was a rather busy weekend for us this week. Saturday was spent shopping for a new car seat for Megan and a family dinner @ home.
Sunday started bright and early with church service @ 8.30am. Daddy wanted to go to the Car-nival @ Singapore Expo, so we happily went on our way after church. Daddy was excited to check out what was on offer, Mummy was searching for the free ice cream...Megan? Look at how "interested" she was in the whole event.

We went to the beach after the Car-nival . This was the first time Megan has been to the beach and she was facinated by her surroundings.

Day out at West Coast Park

We wanted our little princess to experience the sun, sea and the beach. Somehow we thought that West Coast Park was a brilliant idea due to the lesser crowds and its proximity to Vivocity (which would have been our plan B). However to our dismay there was no beach nor sea view to speak of as there was a construction frenzy at the seafront. Nonetheless Megan was in good spirits and she lifted the moods of everyone despite the heat. After 15 minutes of 'beach hunt', we decided to adjourn to the nearby Macs for some ice-cream. As expected, we ended up at Vivocity for lunch and needless to say, did some shopping. Well...Mummy did.

Auntie Stephanie visited us this weekend. She is mummy's oldest friend ,having been best friends with mummy since Primary school. She bought so many presents (especially shoes) for Megan .
